Since 1998, changes in the construction industry driven by the 'Rethinking Construction' Report by Sir John Egan have demanded a new approach to the management of construction and maintenance projects. Increased focus on the Customer, emphasis on quality delivery, integrated processes and team working are all part of an on-going commitment to achieve 100% compliance with Egans principles by 2004

Alongside this, the Best Value Programme has necessitated a different way of working and a different way of thinking to achieve optimum results for both the customer and the organisation. From the perspective of decorative maintenance, Best Value means using quality products and professional contractors such as Midland Decorators Ltd. to extend maintenance cycles and deliver real cost savings to the organization. This means combining all of the successful elements of previous contracts and utilising them into the next project - linking up the supply chain to provide services in a more flexible, responsive way than compulsory competitive tendering has allowed.

Midland Decorators Ltd. have a number of partnership agreements already operational. These include Schools, Sports Centres and various commercial organisations who have all benefited.
